Epic Statewide Virtual Event – Premieres September 28th

We’re Not Giving Up on Life!

Covid-19 restrictions have resulted in Right to Life of Michigan affiliates statewide, canceling their fall benefit dinner events, including Right to Life of Ingham County (RTLIC). Just when there is tremendous need for inspiration and financial resources, we are not allowed to gather and affirm our resolve to end the injustice of abortion.

But we are resilient and Right to Life of Michigan has created an online broadcast event that will recharge our prolife commitment and allow us to supercharge our financial coffers.

We’re Not Giving Up on Life will premiere online on Wednesday, September 28, at 7:30 pm. It’s a prolife extravaganza with featured speaker Sarah Huckabee Sanders, former White House press secretary, and hosted by Christian music artist Matthew West. West wrote and performed the title track for the movie Unplanned.

Planned Parenthood has pledged to spend $2.8 million in Michigan this election. We have a goal of raising $2 million statewide by gathering prolifers in homes and churches for “watch parties” and making a financial gift during the event. RTLIC will receive a share of the funds raised that evening from those watch parties.

Each fall we invite supporters to fill a table at our annual dinner. This year we want groups to gather in homes for an evening of fellowship and prolife inspiration. Will you host friends and family and participate in We’re Not Giving Up on Life?

After the premiere, access to the event will be available until November 3. It is password protected, so participants must register in advance of viewing. Watch party hosts can register once for the whole group at www.rtl.org/notgivinguponlife. Let us know if you plan to host, we can supply envelopes and pledge cards.

Right to Life of Michigan Turns in Petitions

Right to Life of Michigan turned in the Dismemberment Petitions to the Secretary of State on Dec. 23, 2019 in downtown Lansing. There were about 50 people attending, (the picture was snapped before all of the people got in the picture). Some of the people pictured are: Barbara Listing, President, Right to Life of Michigan; Dan Jarvis, Michigan Family Forum; James Muffet, Citizens for Traditional Values; Lynn Mills, and several RLM staff. The second picture is of Ed Rivet and another person unloading petitions inside the SOS office.

Mason Down Home Days, September 2019

2019 booth

RTL Ingham County sponsored a booth at the Mason Down Home Days. Several of the RTLIC Board members manned the booth throughout the day. (Susan McGillicuddy is pictured during her shift). This is an annual event we participate in.

Our 2019 goal was to collect signatures for the Dismemberment Abortion Ban Petition. It was a very successful event, we collected about 200 signatures and handed out petitions to a few church members to take back to their church.

Anyone interested in volunteering for this year’s event, please contact us. It is in September, only requires about a 2-hour commitment and you get to meet a lot of interesting people. Our push this year will be: GET OUT THE VOTE.
